Barbagallo V8 Supercar Upgrade on Track

West Australian Government has announced that the upgrades to the Barbagallo Raceway will be complete in time for the 2012 Trading Post Perth Challenge.

iEDM, with Mark Skaife, was commissioned by the WA Department of Sports and Recreation to develop the original motorsport concept masterplan for the $15 Million upgrade, including internal pit lane and facilities design, V8 Supercar paddock layout, track safety improvements and speed curve analysis to assist the WA based design and construct team.

It was always going to be a tight construction period for the WA Department of Sports and Recreation and the photos on the WASCC Facebook page look great (check them out here – https://www.facebook.com/pages/WA-Sporting-Car-Club-Inc-Barbagallo-Raceway/101862439856407?ref=ts).

Best of luck to the team in WA for a successful Event in a couple of weeks’ time.In other V8 Supercar related news, this weekend marks the last ITM Hamilton 400 V8 Supercar Race in New Zealand. Best of luck to the V8 Supercar Events Team over there for a great Event. NZ Fans are hoping that there will be an announcement for a 2013 Round of the Championship in the near future and as they are some of the most passionate fans in the sport, iEDM will make sure we have our fingers crossed with them…Photo courtesy of WASCC Facebook page.
