How safe is your Event? Does your Event comply with the many layers of State
and Local Government Legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and Building Codes?
Safety in the workplace is quickly becoming one of the most critical issues around successful planning of events.
Ever changing legislation, differing State regulations and managing the vast range of contractors on site at events makes safety one of the more challenging elements of event planning.
iEDM have developed a program, iEDM SafeEvent, which has been specifically designed to provide complete occupational health and safety coverage for our clients in the event industry. Our safety strategies have to allow
for the unique nature of the event industry. Establishing safe methods of work given the unique challenges faced
by Events is an important skill, and one that iEDM plenty of experience in providing.
The SafeEvent services are listed below:
1. SAFETY MANAGEMENT PLANS.
Whatever the event, iEDM can provide detailed safety management plans to give your business the coverage
it needs and is required by legislation.
2. RISK MANAGEMENT.
The objective of the iEDM Risk process is to provide a management tool that identifies and manages risks,
identifies opportunities and creates a culture of risk management in an organization. It is simple, effective and
easily managed. We use this tool in each event we manage. This means we have tailored the process to the unique nature of planning and managing events to make it effective and provide real results. We can provide your event
with a simple framework of how to manage risk, or we can manage the entire process for you.
3. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANS
It is vital that in the case of an emergency, promoters, staff, contractors and security know exactly what their
roles are. iEDM have extensive experience in the development of emergency management plans in consultation
with emergency services authorities.
4. SITE OHS OFFICERS
In some locations, legislation dictates the need for on-site, dedicated OHS Officers during the construction,
the event itself and the de-construction. iEDM can provide your event with qualified, experienced OHS Officers
who know the event industry and always provide useful advice to keep your event moving forward.
5. COLLATION OF SAFETY DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATES
Do you have the time to collate all the compliance documentation you need to in the final days leading up to
an event? iEDM ensure that come time for the gates to open, we have collated all the relevant safety information
for the event and make it available to emergency services and safety authorities. This could include as-constructed drawings, evacuation plans, fire safety checklists, engineering certifications, BCA compliance certificates and
contractor insurance certificates.
